Oliver Cook's sculptures are characterized by their play with light, achieved through the meticulous polishing of alabaster to reveal a light and translucent quality. Inspired by the everyday interplay of light and shadow, such as the glow of twilight or the first light of dawn, Cook captures these fleeting moments, infusing them with poetry and romance. His sculptures are not only visually striking but also offer a warm, tactile experience. Cook's work explores the aesthetics of everyday life, transforming ordinary objects into poetic art through careful material manipulation and innovative design. His pieces possess a serene, contemplative power, inviting viewers to experience a sense of inner peace and tranquility.
