蔡宜儒
Taipei-based artist, Tsai Yi-Ju, blends subculture symbols, popular images, and graphics from childhood cartoons to present-day icons in her artwork, which depicts an absurd yet humorous stage show. Using brush strokes, rendering, and texture layers, she expertly integrates Chinese ink painting skills with Western painting mediums and forms, making her artwork exceptional and innovative. Yi-Ju recently won the first China Trust (CTBC) Contemporary Painting Prize and her artwork is widely collected by art museums, centers, and foundations.
創作上以東方水墨意趣融合西方造型思考，透過走筆、渲染、肌理堆疊，藉由解構、嫁接表現次文化、流行娛樂形象與網路符號等的交替運用，同時整合了抽象與具象之間的微妙特質，展現出穿梭古今與幽默童趣的個人風格。
近期獲中國信託當代繪畫獎首獎；美術館、藝術中心、基金會、企業、與私人單位典藏。
